Dr Babalwa Tembeni

Research Assistant - Chemical Biologist (Since Jun 2025) 

With Dr Eva Sonnenschein  & UKRI GEC - Natural Products BioHub

Making use of multi-omics approaches and in silico studies in identifying and isolating bioactive compounds from fungi and algae. One of the projects focuses on the interactions between insect odour-binding proteins and their chemical structures for the development of an insecticide.
